Spa Etiquette

At Traditions Massage and Facial Spa, we have set out to bring you an environment where the highest levels of skin and body care are provided to nurture the well being of mind, body and spirit. Infusing Western modalities with knowledge of Eastern healing well being, is able to tailor each treatment to any individual's own needs.

It is our goal to make a difference in the lives we touch by offering the highest level of service by trained professionals in the most relaxing environment for our clients.

Reservations:
In order to ensure that you obtain your desired appointments, we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. To accommodate your desired appointment a credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. Gift Certificates may also be used in lieu of a credit card to hold your appointment. We hold this information as part of our cancellation policies and only make necessary charges to your account on the date of your scheduled service. Details of our cancelation policy are provided below. Should you choose to not use a credit card for the appointment, the gift card will be forfeited for a no show.

*Please notify the spa coordinator of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment.

Although we offer planned spa packages for your convenience, you are welcome to combine any of our spa services for a custom package that meets your needs.

Cancellation Policies and Fees:
Your spa treatments are reserved especially for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the spa's scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance/48 hours if you have more than one service booked for the same day that you are canceling..

We recognize the time of our clients and staff is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Additionally, many times our staff will be functioning in an "on call" status and can have travelled to the spa specifically for your service. For these reasons we are obligated to compensate our staff for their time as well as make up for the lost revenue.

Cancellations and no show fees:

We require a 24 hour cancellation or reschedule notice for single appointments and a 48 hour notice for services of 2 or more (massage and facial or a couples) with a cancellation or reschedule fee of $25 per same day service if cancelled or rescheduled 3 hours prior to service time, less than 3 hours will be a 100% charge and a 100% fee of the regular amount of the booked service will be charged for all no show appointments. You must call to make changes,, emails are not monitored regularly. We do require a credit card to be kept on file to eliminate this issue. If you are using a gift certificate and do not wish to keep a card on file, you will forfeit your gift card should you cancel or no show your appointment that day.

Appointments made in less than 24 hours or same day will be subject to a 50% deposit. This deposit will be forfeited should you cancel or no show for the appointment, but will be used towards the cost of the appointment at checkout when you receive your service for this appointment. All same day appointments will be charged a $25 cancellation or rescheduling fee no matter the time frame the appointment was made.

A 50% deposit will be required 3 days before the scheduled couples service and will be charged to the card on file at time of booking. There is a 48 hour cancellation/reschedule fee for all couples services.

*Appointments that are 20 minutes or more late for a (60/90 m) and 10 minutes late for a (30 min) will be considered a Noshow and will be forfeited the whole amount and your therapist will be allowed to leave.

Any refunds issued will be done as a credit to the spa or through our credit card system minus the fees for processing the charge both times.(Card companies charge a processing fee to charge the card in the beginning and a charge to reverse it. This cost us over $4 each credit. Please be mindful of this when wanting your credit reversed.) Gift certificates are not refundable, but can be transferred to someone else. Series can not. Gift Certificates do not hold cash value. Gift Certificates will expire after a 1 year inactivity use.

When you schedule your appointment with us, you are agreeing to these policies. All services require a credit card or gift certificate to guarantee a reservation so please have your credit card and/or gift certificate ready when booking. You will not be billed unless there is a cancellation or no show. Upon checkout, guests may choose their method of payment.

Group Bookings:
For parties of three or more, please contact the owner, Sonja, for group booking policies and availability. A completed contract and deposit are required to secure your appointment and arranged pricing. A 20% gratuity will be added to all spa parties. Exclusive use of the Spa is available; please inquire for fees and available dates.

Cell Phones:
We kindly ask that you turn your cell phones to vibrate upon arrival and to remember to speak in your very soft spa voice once you enter the spa. Please inform your therapist should you need to make a phone call so that you may do so without disturbing other spa guests. Cell phone use may affect the length of your spa services.

Prices and Services:
Prices and services are subject to change without notice. We will do our best to keep our clients up to date on any changes that may occur but encourage all clients to inquire about pricing and available services when booking your appointment.

Gift Certificate Policy:
Gift Certificates are available in any amount and may be purchased at the spa, by phone at 470-278-5175 or you may contact us below. Out of town? Too busy? No problem. We will email your gift certificate to you. Unfortunately, we are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transactions on gift certificates even if lost, misplaced or stolen. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed as cash. Gift Certificates must be mentioned when making your appointment. We can not extend the expiration on a gift certificate simply because you misplaced it and found it later. Please be mindful of such and treat it as cash.

Series of Treatments: (packages)
We are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transaction on any spa treatment series that are purchased. We will, however, exchange them for other products or spa credit of equal value. Series can not be shared or transfered.

Gratuity:
Gratuity is not included in the price of service or spa packages, customary tipping runs 15% to 20% but is, of course, at your discretion. You may tip the therapist in the room or upon check out at the front desk with cash or credit card. With parties of 3 or more a 20% gratuity will be added to the final bill.

Check in:
We ask that you please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals. However, the length of service may be adjusted so as to not interrupt the scheduled appointments of other guests. Full price of scheduled services will apply, so please plan accordingly. Of course, beyond the check in policies we invite all our guest receiving services to make full use of our relaxing environment here at Traditions Massage and Facial Spa. Come early, stay late, bring a book, relax and enjoy a cup of complimentary tea, coffee, cocoa or hot cider available in our relaxation area. Couples and spa parties are more than welcome to bring wine and we will provide the glasses.

Personal Belongings:
Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home. Traditions Massage and Facial Spa is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

Spa Promotions:
Spa specials cannot be used in combination with any other offer, promotions or third party gift. Specials can not be purchased as a gift card.

Refunds:

Refunds will be issued to the original purchaser as a spa credit or to the original card it was purchaed from, minus the processing fee of $4.00. (this fee is charged when you book and is charged again when we refund per our credit system) and up to the disgression of the spa owner.
